Our History

Lutz Preschool opened it's doors for the first time on September of 1981 as a Pennsylvania State Licensed Group Home. A modest group of 11 children filled our school on that day, as well as a staff of 4. Within a year, our program grew to a total enrollment of 23 children. A new addition was built a year later to accomodate the growing popularity of our school. In 1991, Lutz Preschool became licensed by the Pennsylvania State Department of Education, to go along with our existing license from the Pennsylvania State Department of Public Welfare. Another new addition was built in 1993, adding infant and toddler rooms to accomodate the demand for our full time daycare service. in 1997, Lutz Preschool again expanded, this time adding a second location. This second location helped satisfy the ever-growing demand for our preschool and school aged care services. Today, Lutz preschool has an enrollment of 150 children, and our staff has increased to 20 current members.
